Simple Dot Slam Details

14 poets will completing 3 rounds.

Round 1 All 14 poets will compete the top 7 will continue to

Round 2- 7 poets will compete and the top 3 poets will moved on to

Round 3- Top 3 will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place price

(In the case of a Tie in the 3rd round Poets will face off)

Prizes

1st- $300

2nd- $125

3rd- $75

Poetry Rules

Poets will be scored by judges on a scale of 1-10

Each round will be a clean slate

Each poet has a 3 minutes with a 10 second grace period

( 0.5 will be deducted from the score for every 10 seconds over the grace period. )

No Props

Each poem must be the poet's original work

Drawing

There will be a random drawing before each round.

There is no refund for Slam sign ups.

( Poets need to be at the location by 6:30 for drawing. If you miss your space you will be automatically eliminated. )
